Printer Support Required
Your printer must support duplex printing (automatic two-sided printing). Many office and home printers do. If your printer does not support duplex, you can still manually flip pages to print the second side.
Enabling Duplex on Windows
After opening the print dialog from Print-File.com:
- Click "More settings" or "Preferences" to expand options.
- Look for "Print on both sides", "Two-sided", or "Duplex".
- Some drivers offer "Flip on long edge" (for letter-size) or "Flip on short edge" (for landscape). Choose based on how you'll bind the document.
- Apply and print.
Enabling Duplex on Mac
In the macOS print dialog:
- Click "Show Details" at the bottom.
- Open the "Layout" or "Paper Handling" section.
- Find "Two-Sided" or "Duplex" and enable it.
- Some printers show "Long-edge binding" vs "Short-edge binding" for correct page flipping.
Manual Duplex (No Automatic Duplex)
If your printer lacks automatic duplex: print odd pages first (1, 3, 5...), then reinsert the stack (flipped), and print even pages (2, 4, 6...). Check your printer's manual for correct paper orientation.
Booklet Printing
For booklet-style output (folded in the middle), use your printer's "Booklet" or "Brochure" mode if available. Otherwise, print two-sided and fold manually.
