Use the Printable Version When Available
Many order pages and ticket sites have a Print, Download PDF, or View ticket button. Use that file when possible instead of printing the entire web page or email thread.
Recommended Settings
- Scale: Fit to page for full-page tickets, or 100% for barcode-heavy PDFs.
- Color: Black and white is usually fine unless the ticket says color is required.
- Quality: Normal or Best for sharp QR codes and barcodes.
- Paper size: Letter or A4 unless the ticket file specifies another size.
Printing From Email
If the receipt or ticket is attached, download the attachment and print the file itself. If the receipt is in the email body, use the email app's print option and preview the pages before printing so signatures, replies, or ads do not add extra pages.
Make Codes Easy to Scan
- Do not print QR codes too small.
- Avoid low-ink draft mode for important barcodes.
- Keep the paper flat and clean after printing.
- Print a backup copy or save the PDF on your phone when the document is important.
Privacy Tip
Receipts and tickets can include order numbers, personal details, and travel information. Keep printed copies secure and delete downloads from shared computers after printing.
